Ok, I am looking at buying a car that the kids can work on with me. Then to hopefully sell in the spring, or maybe keep for them. I havent seen either one of them and go figure each of them is over 3 hours away in different directions. The 1st one is a 67 barracuda fastback, /6 ac car , buckets console, black interior, car apparently is a Virginia car. Needs front floor pans, but the rest is solid, car is in primer, has new brakes and tires and can be driven home, but not recommended in this weather. The next one is a 70 dart orig/6 car, but now has v8 k frame. also needs front floor pans, but is a us car(dont know where from) I believe its a buckets console car. Has 340(apart) that comes with it and tranny. also has 8 3/4 rearend. I want to get the kids involved with a project that isnt too hard. Im not a welder or a painter, so that will have to be farmed out. But we can do pretty much anything else. I know just enough to make me dangerous!! The cuda is "drivable" but only has /6. The dart isnt drivable, but has a 340 and the kframe is already installed. As far as b-cuda parts, I have quite a few pieces and 68-69 donor cars. So which one??? Lemme know what you think.
Thanks

I say the cuda, you already have parts and you know thoes cars well.Tip,go on line and see what cars are selling the best and for how much.If I had a choice it would be the cuda.If you like you could sell me the 8 3/4 rear LOL.Good luck on what you pick.Don

Hey Gryzynx, I think the 2nd car automatically comes with a "pink" slip from the bride!! And not kind she wears!!LOL

To bad there in different directions, Cause i would want to look at both,I'd want the one with the best body less parts missing, And of course the price would have something to do with it to, I like both body styles so that wouldn't matter

4spd well looks like i have found one,741 case 323 posi he wants 800 ouch.I am keeping my eyes open.i did call Brian at the wreckers you said he was about 1000 for his but all apart.I realy want one now seeing how my 360 is almost ready to drop in the Dart.I am also looking for anouther intake for the Dart, there is a guy in Madoc that says he has a nice clean 70 Dart project for sale.Is this the same car your looking at.

You said "kids" earlier. That would imply more than one. So in order to keep the peace get them both and have one for each.

What the heck is with you guys wanting me to buy two?? Geez, 3 sleds, 1 dirt bike, 4 cudas my sweet lord!! Both vehicles are priced the same, but the cuda is drivable as is with the /6. The dart orig/6 had the k swapped and has a 340 in pieces. My thoughts on getting the cuda is to do the k swap, but that means getting another engine. Hmmmm.... gonna check the cars out in the next couple of days.

Winter is only 3 months. Better work fast ! Kids tend to grow up and away.
I put my daughter in a 67 notch and she totalled it. Glad there were no injuries. A few weeks later we got a 3:AM phone call. A young guy held the phone out his bedroom window and let us listen to daughters boyfriend doing burnouts up and down their street in our Firebird.
My son went into a 4 door Accord with shoulder belts, airbags, jukebox, etc.. I slept better at night knowing he and his passengers were in a safer vehicle.
When it comes to choosing what I want my kids or grandkids riding in, a late model ricer beats the classic iron every time. My 2 cents

Do the cuda and drive as you fix, but the dart is tempting since it has the 8-3/4 rear and a 340 to go with it.

All in all the cuda would probably be the most enjoyable as it can be driven with much less down time than the dart unless you have endless funding which would be a great excuse to buy both.

Did you stomp boyfriend's ***?

But to tell you the truth, I would have done the same thing at that age. LOL.
