need dash help!

how the hell do you get the heater controls out of the dash?! i have it all loose,but the temp slider control button is holding things up. how do you get that bugger off? i hate to break something since i might sell it all.
 
there is a small allen screw on yhe bottom of the knob. i took my glove bock ot to remove my heater switch
 
good god! that makes sense! i didn't think to look there. i took the glove box out and the am radio. i wonder if there is a way to strip the radio to just a shell for looks? thanks dixiedart!
 
i just had to go out and take it off since it was that easy! thanks!
 
i would most likely leave it all together my orginal one was gone already but it it was in mine still i would put an after market radio in the glove box
 
i am not going to run a radio either way,i may just make a cover plate for it. you don't happen to know how to get the latch off the glovebox door do you?
 
I moved the heater controls to the ash tray opening and made a smooth dash. If I put a radio in it one day, it'll be a remote style.
