This scattershield thing is starting to upset me....

After a local contact suddenly went dead I move on:

I call Lakewood, they give me a part number ( 95000650 ) and send me off to Jegs or Summit so I can special order it (they don't sell direct....)

I call Jegs and was told 3-4 weeks on special order parts. Call back Monday....:x

I call Summit and was told 4-6 weeks for a special order part, although it's listed in the Summit catalog as discontinued. Call back Monday....:twisted:

PLEASE! Ask around and see if anyone has one of these damn spacer rings stuck to a tranny in their yard or know of a local speed shop that might have one in stock! This is the spacer ring that fits over the bearing retainer on the snout of a 4 spd. so it indexs correctly in the scattershield.

MY CAR IS ON JACK STANDS WAITING FOR THIS PIECE!

And the funny thing is, if this was a Chevy I could probably find the friggen part in a bakery...... :roll:

Please, try and help me out. I don't really want to spend $339 ( plus shipping....) on a new scattershield just to get a $25 part!

Hmm, Mopar Performance at least used to sell, and may still sell, different front bearing retainers to mount which ever trans front bearing with whichever bell housing center hole size you had. There was like 4 different ones for any combination. Just a thought.

I need the small bolt circle 4.80" retainer, which was discontinued a while ago and the retainer is rather hard to come by. I called Mancini's last week, along with Brewers performance, and found out that it was hard to find. Now I learn that the sleave is out there, just another pain in the *** to get....

Me thinks the next cruise I'll make in the damn thing will be the Thanksgiving Day Parade........
