When I bought my 73 Dart Sport it had 15x7 rallys with 245/60/15,s on the rear(with spacers)14x6 with 225/60/14,s on front.I would check fitment on your rear with just the bare rim first to see if they hit your leafsprings first.Just my 2 cents.Hope this helps before you spend.

P.S I have a 8 3/4 s.g rearend in there now.(no spacers)

i put the wheels on without tires and they seem to have good clearance all the way around..

i went with 205/60/15 on front and 225/60/15 on rear.. will post a pic when i get them on.. hopefully they look good, and no rubbing..

yes, have u ever tried or know a tire that would work? i went with 205/60/15 gonna try them on it tommorrow

I don't think 15 x 8s on the front is a good idea. You will probably end up folding a fender when the tire hits it.

I think putting a 205 on an 8" wheel is also a bad idea.

looks like it should have plenty of clearance on the front.. what do u think the problem would be on a 205 tire/8 inch wheel

Recommended wheel width for a 205-60-15 is 5.5" - 7.5". You will be stretching the tire on a wheel it is not designed for.

Personally I would return the 8" front wheels and get 6" or maybe 7". VERY few people run an 8" wheel on the front of an a-body.

Mopar Muscle April 2010 has an article on this with a manafacturer of a product to check tire clearances.

An 8" wheel on the front will most likely rub. Remember, the car sitting statically may look ok until you test it dynamically, DRIVE IT!!! I would drop down to a 5 or 6" wheel on the front. Don't think it would look that good either, just my .02. Check out any tire manufacturer's web site and find out possible tire/wheel combos that are recommended. A 205/60 tire on an 8" wheel ain't a gonna work.

here is a pic.. just put the tires on today.. 205/60 on the front.. 225/60 on the rear.. 15x8's all the way around and doesnt even come close to rubbing!!

I still think a 205 on an 8" wheel is a bad idea. If it does rub it will be when turning and the suspension is going through its motion.

Car looks good though.
