Again, prep is key.

I agree. When you think that you're ready to paint, go over it one more time with some thinner and an old white T shirt. You'll be surprised at what you've missed.

That's a good chart, but I found one discrepancy.


I have a 71 Challenger convert 340 and the engine was blue, not hemi orange like the chart says. I think that they "overlapped" a few years....

That is pretty interesting. Helped my buddy paint a 440 the other. Block stamped with Maltese cross. Was a factory .20 over motor. A lot of really neat stuff went on at the factory.
