Cool jig, nice job on the pipe fitting, something tells me this ain`t your first build.
I`m watching..

I don't have any idea how to do this kinda work, LOL. massive.

Nice! I can tell from the jig it's not your first rodeo :). That 572's numbers should easily give you some flexibility on the stop. Have fun with the build & keep us informed with the progress. Member since 2008...Don't be a stranger. :D

Thanks for the compliments. Nope not my first build but this is the first for myself in a long time. Thought you would enjoy. Added a few more bars over the weekend. Just a few more to go and I can get the body out of the way to finish all the small stuff on the chassis before re-attaching and starting the sheet metal work. The body will get new quarters and rockers, basically just using the roof from the original car. Shooting for 2400# with me in the seat. In theory with the power the engine makes it should run 7.9 @ 170 off the stop. In reality it will probably run 8.20-8.30's.

Yea...:happy1: on my second bag.

This thing already looks fast!

with that much h.p., it had better be lite, we broke 8 3/4 rears every other week-end till we went w/ a dana 60. car was heavier tho just sayin

I do believe the 9" is up to the task.
Very nice work. If your attention to detail follows through the whole job , this one is gonna be purdy !:D:D

Nice, I was wondering why you didn't make it a double rail to motor plate, aka, Pro mod/ Pro stock style. The small stuff will take all the time as you know. Where are you located?
Keep the pics coming!

I'm in Suffolk Va. There are a couple reasons for not using the double frame rail design. I feel they are for cars with a lot more hp, 1500+. They are hard to work aroung inside the car. The transmission in this type of chassis has to be removed from inside the car and handed out the passenger door. I "super class" racing the transmission and converter see more action than anything else and need to be easy to r and r. Then there is the weight issue. I know there are a lot of bars in there but I am trying to keep them to a minimun compared to current chassis out there.

yes, ive pulled many jericos and lencos out of the cavity. that 400 ain't light either

Trimmed a few unnecessary things off the body in prepartation to mount the front suspension. Did quick trial fit of the front end to make sure the wheel/tire will end up where it is supposed to and the proceeded to mount the struts, radiator, trans cooler and prep for motor plate.
