New Cop in town not doing this site any justice

There should be nothing wrong with a little help and basic questions in a for sale ad or even a wanted ad.
I agree but there has to be a limit and like Joey has said, "Comments are not allowed".. "How come my post got deleted when Member X didn't get his deleted." It's pretty impossible to make the right decision without pissing someone off. There again "No comments in sale threads" works best of all.

I was under the impression that if you are a paying Gold member you could bump your sell adds?

So then to that point, wouldn't locking each for sale thread take care of that? I've seen that mentioned before. But, now, if the seller is a gold member, locking his for sale thread removes his right stated in the rules to bump his ad every three days. That's the catch 22 nobody is seeing here. You change ONE THING and now you have new problems to contend with.

I’m on here all the time total BS it’s never been that way. Every once in a while a mod comes on and deletes some stuff its never been this in your face like this. I fine with it. I will just sit back now. Just worry about my stuff. Good Luck

Since were on the k frame. If is for sale and the ad says 68 and up K frame for sale. But it’s actually a 67 and I’m looking for 67 I go right over it and if it gets edited, it doesn’t pop back up to a fresh add and it gets buried when a question it does.
If you are a buyer it is your responsibility to know what part you are looking for. By the same token, as a seller, it is your responsibility to know what you are selling. Or just list it as "it came off a 67 Dart". Now, the rest of you, it's not your responsibility to correct or add application information. I know you want to help but, just follow the rules and don't comment. I see why you want to correct the ad but like I have said before, it's not your job. Now, if Joey say's it's ok, we're all good. It's his forums and his rules.

I have thought about that and there has been discussion. You are absolutely correct, Post a sale or wanted thread and it is automatically locked for comments. And in a perfect world, (if the software would allow) only the seller could add photos, information, reduce the price, or bump the ad.

Yeah, if the software would allow that, that would be the way to go. Like maybe make each seller a "mod" for their own thread.

I’ve always said this is the best site around with so much knowledge and so much help. We will see
I agree. Just send the seller a pm and tell him that his K member also works on 67's. Or you could ask a legitimate question about whether it will work on 67's as well. But, let the seller answer. It's not your (or other's) responsibility to answer the question. I'm sounding like a broken record here.

Man, I think I'm gonna need more of this...

I’m OK with it, but you’re taking away the family atmosphere that been here for a long time. And Mike you been apart of that.

I actually use the classifieds as a learning tool and there are times when the comments come in handy for parts identification as well as getting an idea of what your part is worth.
