Entered the Stock Eliminator ring with a new car.
Not an A-Body though. It's a 1980 Volare Road Runner.
Set up to run NHRA I/SA or IHRA S/GTE or F.

My Son mad his debut at Tulsa NHRA divisional, got beat in the 3rd round on a heads up race.
Not bad, we had told ourselves a first round victory was our goal.

Took it to Lufkin Texas last weekend for an IHRA race.
Went to his first final in a Stocker, didn't win, but we were happy.
Still learning what the car likes & how to drive it.
It isn't as forgiving as a Bracket car is, that much we know.

It was my first time there. Nice place.
My Son's fiancé won Hot Rod, her Dad won Quick Rod & my Son runnered up in Stock. Good weekend for sure.

No, still have it. Trying to sell the car turn key, roller, or the engine.
Wished I didn't have to sell, but the wife wants the cash back in savings from buying the Volare'.
