new leaf springs

I have a new set of shackles and leaf springs coming, should be here on monday. Do these need to be protected with something before being installed? Thank you for your help.

You can paint them black if you wanted.I also put anti-seize on the bushings and bolts for more free movement,also to prevent rusting.

Last weekend was a beautiful 85*,was a great weekend for racing.Now this weekend is totally the opposite.Weather has changed to a wet 45-50*.The leaves are all changing colours,just waiting for a sunny day to go for a country cruise before putting the cars away for the winter.

Being from North Carolina Putting your car away sounds strange, but after traveling up in your area, I totally understand. Where I live with the exception of a few days you can drive year around. I love the blue dart. We were neighbors of Kyle Petty till we bought our house this year and moved but you would love to see some of the toys he had in his barn. His son drives a metalic brown or copper superbird and on a really nice day he may break out his petty blue one. Its like totally awesome to see and hear it going through the country roads of N.C.
I miss coming up into Canada though it was a beautiful place with some really nice people, atleast the ones I dealt with.
