I have a 2 post..... best money I have spent in the garage here at home, tied with the 5 hp/80 gallon upright compressor and the Miller MIG.....
my lift was a CL steal taht I thought Id miss out on by the time I got there..... can't buy a good shop floor jack for what I paid..... though I did refresh some things on it as I re-set it up once I got it home.... mine is a Weaver, one of the last they built (1986 model) before being bought out by Rotary (in 1989) .... the ONLY one currently built so thick/heavy duty available today that comes close, is a Mohawk. I cant believe the stamped 1/4" plate, with bolt together columns Rotary we have at work with column feet about half the size of what mine has is rated at the same capacity..... Mine is a floor plate design, no top cross beam but the floor plate has never been an issue.... doing a trans with a trans jack, whatever.... the floor plate has never gotten in the way.
