What would be the difference between the Mopar Dana Strange Makes and the GM Dana strange makes?Would anybody following the build be interested in this in a kit form? Ready to install with very detailed instructions. Maybe even 3d printed templates. All you would need are coilovers. You would get a choice of including a sway bar.
As far as the rear end housing this will obviously fit a strange 9”. The upper housing tabs will be extra long so they could be trimmed to fit a 8-3/4. This will not fit a mopar Dana. Although doing a little bit of research it maybe possible to fit a GM Dana that strange makes for A body GM cars. If yet to test fit that housing. The 8.8 is always an option too. This is resembling a foxbody a lot so that could be a good option also. Again the user would have to fab or modify mustang upper control arms to correct length.
The GM Dana has upper control arms bosses cast into the case. The mopar one doesn’t. The triangle is opposite in the RMS. Where you need to weld the tabs on this kit is not on the tube it’s more close to the ring gear side of the housingWhat would be the difference between the Mopar Dana Strange Makes and the GM Dana strange makes?
Curious as I have a Strange S60 in my Dart with the RMS triangulated 4 link.
I am following along with interest. I had previously thought about what it would take to do this after seeing all the fox body parts and again when @subcom did his build thread. You are taking it to an exceptional level in quality. I can't wait to see how the finished product looks.Would anybody following the build be interested in this in a kit form? Thanks. Years of building foxbodys lead me to this. Almost was going to do it like the Drag pak but I didn’t want a panhard bar..I am following along with interest. It will be in double shear and back strap. Just didn’t want to fit it under the car. Kinda crampedIs the plan to keep the upper control arms in single shear or are you going to box them in?
Sweet, kinda figured you would looking at thought and quality of your build so far.It will be in double shear and back strap. Just didn’t want to fit it under the car. Kinda cramped
I’m thinking so I don’t have a mock up one. There is a fuel cell in trunkWill the stock gas tank clear or are you going with something non-stock? And looking awesome btw!
I struggled to make my coilovers clear my factory tank and threw in the towel and put in an alum fuel cell.I’m thinking so I don’t have a mock up one. There is a fuel cell in trunk
Yeah that’s possible. There’s going to be a few tweaks here and there before solidifying everything. Have to test it alsoI struggled to make my coilovers clear my factory tank and threw in the towel and put in an alum fuel cell.
If you do decide to offer a kit I think it might be a good idea to extend the frame brace all the way to your coil over mounts once you decide on a final position and make it a single continuous piece, if that makes sense.

The tie down points are freakin awesome. Not sure why more people don’t do that.View attachment 1716513806

Housing is out. Ready to weld everything. Changed the lower bar, little bit more style. Added some tie downs as well
