Imagine my surprise to find an A-body only website! I'm in heaven...
I'm currently Mopar-less (unless my Jeep TJ counts) but I've had a decent stable of A-bods through the years. Heck, my first car was a 73 Dart Custom sedan, 225 with a 3-on-the-tree tranny... no pics of that sadly.
Here are the other cars in chronological order:
1975 Dart Sport 360
1967 Barracuda 440
1971 Demon 340
The 75 Dart was a 318/904 car when I bought it but was changed to a 360/833 combo while I had it. The 67 Barracuda was a 225/904 car but was treated to a 73 New Yorker 440/727 plus a set of 4.10s to replace the 3.23s. It was a lot of fun. The 71 Demon was originally a Hemi Orange 340 4-speed car but had been through many hands so wasn't really a candidate for a resto. So, it got mini-tubbed, had a 10 point cage installed and the inner fenders removed. The 340 was from a 68 Dart and was modded a bit and the 8 3/4 rear was stuffed with 5.38 gears. I tried a set of 4.56s but they just weren't enough for the motor. Yeah, the rear tires were pretty tall. Sadly, all these cars are in stranger's hands now but I am looking for a clean Duster/Dart/Demon/Barracuda to build in the near future. That 528 crate Hemi from Mopar is awfully tempting!
Anyway, glad to be here! 8)
