NHL 2024-25

Sounds like I may have missed a few things, as I went to bed with about halfway through the 2nd.

Regardless, it's gonna be a tough game in Dallas for the Jets, as not many teams have come back from a 3-1 deficit.

But I sincerely hope they can do it!

I gotta say this seems to be the year for reflections! Especially off your own player....Morgan Reilly, 2 in game 4, one off Draisatl with 0.4 left...crazy.
I understand the "Whiteout" but it doesn't seem right when the visiting team is in white?

Yeah, I was thinking about that myself last night.

Which reminds me: Any idea why the NHL switched the Home/Visitor colors about 7-8 years ago? Sometimes when I come across a game on TV I still think the "white" team is Home.

The whiteout originated long ago in the Jets 1.0 era when they were in the Smythe Division. They frequently had good teams but could never get past either the Oilers or the Flames to get out of the Division in the playoffs. The whiteout began as a marketing campaign as a way to show support for the Jets, who as noted above, wore the white jerseys at home. I don't understand why the league changed the policy either.

What's with these fines for dirty hits? A fine of $5k means nothing to a multi millionaire player. Its probably a business expense/deduction for their corporation. Suspensions are the way to go.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly, Benn gets a $5k fine. Big deal. If he gets suspended he forfeits his salary and the team has to do without him.

Wow! That was one of the best periods I’ve ever seen the Leafs play!

Congratulations to ‘em, and best of luck in Game 7!

I wasn't gonna watch. I figgered if they win ill watch #7, and if they lose it kept my blood psi down lol. I got sucked in and watched the last half lol. Matthews was BEYOND due. Patches 2nd clutch goal of the playoffs. His size and experience is irreplaceable.

Panthers couldn't do anything right last night hopefully wrap it up tomorrow night..Celtics but their butts kicked..but my Yankees won again:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Winnipeg Jets #55 Mark Scheifele lost his father overnight, no details except that it was sudden and unexpected. Scheifele is playing tonight, saying his father would have wanted him to. Scheifele just scored the game's first goal!

Wow. I hadn’t heard that, thanks Randy.

(Go Jets!)

Oettinger was outstanding again, Hellebuyck was good, but outplayed by Oettinger.
I feel like the Jets deserved to win that one, not sure why Steel didn't get a penalty shot on that foul, but the series is over. Bottom line, you have to be able to win road games, period. Jets haven't won one since the first game in Vegas.

Go Leafs, ok that really hurt to type!

Go Oilers!
