Want to check the brown wire for good connection to the neutral safety switch ?? Crawl under the drivers side of the car and plull the harness connector off the switch ( found screwed into the side of the trans case ).
Hook a test light to ground and leave it probed to the center wire ( there are 3 wires there ) of that connector. Next pull the brown wire off the starter relay and jump 12 volts from the battery cable to the brown wire. If the test light comes on , the wire is good and the switch is bad.
