Lol .. well , not quite that bad but ..

I stop at my local anti-convenience store in the morning for a cup of coffee often, always has to be "that" guy. standing at the cash register, telling some long drawn-out boring story while I stand in line waiting to pay ..

done venting

The older I get the more I am NOT a people person. I'm ok with mornings.

Funny, I work with that guy.... I swear the man has gills because he never stops talking long enough to breath.

the only thing that is worse, is the smf that bring in 2 handfuls of lottery tickets to be checked OR his dumbass wife that has 25 sheets with hand picked numbers that has to be on separate tickets. there should be a federal law that says " LOTTERY TICKET ONLY CHECKED BETWEEN 2AM AND 3AM EACH MORNINH. NO EXCEPTIONS". RANT OVER FOR NOW.

How come lottery players can only issue one order at a time and can't issue another until the first is fulfilled?

...and then they almost always want cigarettes in a brand that's out of stock, or not even sold there, or at best very difficult for the cashier to locate.

My idea of a convenience store is the local do nut drive thru, run my Viet Nam folks. They know how to make a good do nut and have no time for talk! But they should not be allowed to sell by the box full of different flavors!

When I worked at a gas station, I kept the line moving if someone had a good topic, they would step aside and wait til the line was done, they had respect. Funny how many people would continue the conversation as the person before them left the store.

Most of my lottery players that had stacks of tickets politely waited til the other customers were gone. More respect. But they sure as hell did buy the cheapest cigarettes you've ever heard of!

Is there such a thing as cheap cigarettes ANYWHERE anymore? (I quit 21 yrs ago tomorrow, but my girlfriend and my best friend, her sister, spend about $500-$1500/trip to the Indian smoke shop.) And that's less than half what they would cost in california.

I live just north of Iowa, and I know smokers who travel 15-20 miles to save a few bucks a pack. They usually do a group buy, a carton or two per person throwing in.

This state made the price of cigarettes almost double when they used cig tax for the stadium in Minneapolis.

It sounds like the guy that leaves his car at the gas pump after filling up and goes in the store to buy a drink.
Now I let them know after they start their B line toward the store that I'm waiting for gas, so get your car out of my F'n way. Their look is shocked. lol

I DESPISE lotteries for the way they clog the lines! "Cash these $20 worth of tickets (never mind the losers) in for $8, put that with (...slowly fishing for singles) another $12 on 4 Big Golds and 2 Super Jackpots." People chatting, I may or may not mind, depends on their attitude about it. On the pump, if it's crowded, I move before going in. If several pumps available, I leave it there and go in.

Here they have separate lines for lottery stuff. I don't know that much about it, because we never play. "A tax for morons"

If I just spend 100 bucks filling up my truck, it can stay at that pump while I grab a cup of coffee

Somehow I don't mind that as much as the a'holes who park at the pump, because it's close to the door, only to go inside for their smokes, lottery tickets, or whatever.

Like you I've started calling them out, saying. "The pumps aren't parking spots". Nine times out of ten they've gotten embarrassed, but I have gotten the finger twice.

Phuque 'em.

Yep, that's just plain lazy and selfish, especially at a busy gas station and people are waiting for pumps to open up. Those people probably also park in fire lanes...
