In 1968 they actually made some super stockers with automatic transmissions(727) and they had the Hurst Dual gate (his/hers) shifter from factory

Neat driver. Way too much for that. Like $20K car with $15-20K worth used 465hp 426 cid Mopar Performance crate motor flopped in.

Elephant ears, 4bbl old crate motor intake...

It's like a nice driver older repaint and interior mostly stock. Has some exterior 1968 touches. I think that trunk just has '68 upper and lower trim added with the original 67 center trim still left on. Never seen that before

Not knowledgeable seller.

Worth under $40K.

The value of that used motor is work no more than the sum of it part new maximum. Because it's parts are all used now, it's internal condition is unknown, it's machining and assembly quality is unknown.

Here's a parts list all 100% NEW stuff. Minimum performance level which is what this 425 hp hemi in this 67 barracuda is.

New Callie Hemi block finish bore: $6,000: Engine Blocks
Block hardware (dowels, keys): $30: Block Hardware
Engine bolt kit: $380: AMK Master Engine Bolt Kit
Rotating Assembly: $2595 (472 stroker) Stroker Kit, 426-472 Cubic Inch, 1.030 Pin
ATI Damper: $337: ATI Standard Harmonic Balancer

Head Stud kit: $279: ARP High Performance Series Cylinder Head Bolt Kit
Valvetrain: $2100: Mancini Racing 426 Hemi Rocker Arm Set with Stands
Pushrods: $137: Mancini Racing Chromoly Pushrod Set
Camshaft: $385: Camshafts
Valve Covers and spark plug seals: $465: Hemi Valve Cover Sets
Timing Chain: $61: Mancini Racing True Double Roller Timing Chain
Timing Cover: $53: Milodon Steel Timing Cover

I don't really see him claiming it's special. Except that dumb "S-code" statement, which is just reading the emblem that says "S" on it. Maybe I'm just ignoring the sellers stupidity.

It's just a clean driven 67 Barracuda with a hemi bolted to it (literally hard bolted, no motor mounts)

Thank you for that analysis!! 19K for a good running 426 Hemi and maybe 18K for a nice 67/68 Cuda comes to 37K. With some embelishments maybe 42K??? No fender tag = minus some money??/

I don't think the fender tag matters for this hot rod-ish car. Might be helpful if it was originally a 383 car.

I think the paint is fair or at least with nicks and scratches. Repainted engine compartment is flaking some. Notice paint scratch on right fender behind headlight bezel.

I think it's a hard sell cause it's doesn't have that eye appeal and pop to stand out from a 273 Barracuda. The fact that it's a 67 takes away from the 68 Super Stock clone buyers.

This car NEEDS a skilled salesperson to sell it. It's doesn't sell itself very well. My guess is that's how this broker got a hold of it.

Seller doesn't seem to be aware that there were no factory 67 Hemi cars... just blithely rattles on about "S" code which means nothing.
