Not sure if it's just me but I'm getting bombarded with virus

-
I'm here on one of those Toshiba Windows7 laptops that got a free upgrade to Win10. With every update from MS it just gets slower and slower.
When I get on in the recent mornings, I hit the Google button on my task bar several times before I ever see it. Then there are 2 or 3 trying to open depending on how many times I hit the button. Then after a page or 3 of browsing, I see the pop up "close page or wait?" I wish I had a nickel for every time I clicked wait.
It's surely the damn ads and Google, It aint your fault!
I did delete cache again today and forum has worked a little better. I haven't been redirected.

Windows 10 uses Microsoft Edge Web Browser.

Go online to Mozilla.com and download Firefox web browser for windows 10. Make Firefox your default browser.
Your problems with the popups will be gone.

You can also go into Firefox Settings and tighten up the security too.

Thanks for the info but I really don't want to download anything from anywhere, especially when the FABO website is the only place where the pop ups are occurring!! I'm all over the internet most of the day and night and haven't seen the pop ups ONCE ...except here. Wouldn't that, by a process of elimination, narrow the problem down to the FABO servers??? I ain't no komputer whiz but I got me sum common cents!!!

Short answer is. No.

It is Microsoft, Microsoft Edge Browser (very poor, harvests your data and is not secure at all), and Google Chrome Browser Problems. All three are harvesting your data, and are sending back ads to you because of it, in hopes of you buying from the ads and making them money.

It's Big Tech working you to make sales.

Say no to Big Tech. Put on Firefox, it is an Open Source Platform built by electronics and computer specialists donating their time and skills so that others may have good internet experience without ads popping up every 5 minutes.

On top of that Windows 10 is full of security leaks on it's own.

Joey is doing a great job of keeping our site running. So, Thank You Joey for doing so.

Not sure why you got that, but that's not what we've been talking about. Thats not a pop up

Call it what you want. Something is not right, and will keep me from being on the site. Many others are having issues as well on their computers, but not on their phones. The only reason I'm on is because I'm on my phone. And yes my tablet is up to date. Something is going on with this site.

What versions of Android and Chrome are you using on your tablet?

Johnny do not stay signed in to FABO.
Sign on everytime you come to the FABO site.
This should take care of it.
Dump your brower history first.

My Chrome Browser was doing funny things on my Android Phone.

Have switch to Firefox browser and everything is fine now.

So this leads me back to others still having problems. So I went in and updated my messed up Google Chrome browser, restarted the phone after the update. Now the Chrome browser on my android phone is working fine again, no pop-ups either.

_____

Now I am going back to Firefox browser as my main default browser.

The Chrome browser will be my backup, but will not use it until it's an emergency if all else fails.

Remeber if you are using Google, Google Chrome, and Google products, then you are supporting Big Tech.

We all know Big Tech is bad for our Country.
