OD trans to '64 dart?

Hello,
Does anyone know if a '94 Overdrive auto trans will fit my '64 dart GT? (its a v-8 chassis). I have a chance to pick it up with an injected 360 from a '94 ram 1500. Also will the rear fit, and does anyone make a kit to utilize the pushbutton linkage to a newer trans?

Pretty sure the hump has to be enlarged. The rearend won't work without major work. Generally truck rearends bolt on under the springs, not over the top like cars.

HI, I have a '64 Dart GT. there is no such thing as a "V-8" chassis. they're all the same. to fit the OD trans you will need to rework the transmission tunnel, the OD trans is larger at the back than your A904. there are easier fitting rear ends that will swap in, I'm currently looking at the Ford Explorer 8.8" rear. lastly there is a way to use your push buttons with a newer trans, you need the stuff off a mid '60's Dodge truck or van. they used the lever shifted trans and a cable shift selector lever mounted on the dash. I may have one if you decide to go ahead with the OD plan.8)
