Has anyone purchased the 70-72 Standard Grille reproduction from OER?

I see that they make the all black version above and one with a silver center and black surround only.

Given that I have a '70 Duster it needs to be black center and silver surround, which it doesn't appear that they make.

It seems my only choices are to fix my grille or another original '70 and re-paint, or to buy this center and paint the edges. I also don't know if the OER grilles have the slightly rough surface on the surround part to match how my original is.

My original grille has one large crack on the bottom, one of the upper outside trim screw areas is completely broken. Otherwise it's fixable with some hardware and probably some hours into it.

Thanks for any help!

Taping and spraying...... I did that for Krusty. I sprayed black and dark argent. Headlite doors, also.

I did order a new grille because of classic industries' 20% off sale, as well as the upper and lower trim and new lenses and a hardware kit. Ends tonight so hurry if you need to.

The trim that's on the inside between the black and the silver on the '70 as far as I know is not available new. My lower piece has 2 of the retaining straps broken so I'll have to figure out how to repair that. Thankfully otherwise they are in good shape. Same with the grille emblem, it just needs the black paint redone. The marker light trim rings are actually very nice still so those are staying.

I also bought some headlight bezels on ebay because the ones I had someone had ramrodded screws through due to the grille tabs being broken.

I have a can of the Krylon "Dull Aluminum" that was recommended on another topic.

New grille came in. Now to think about painting it. I saw that there is the OER K89182 "Textured" Paint, is this what you guys used? The surface on this is of course smooth being it's new. I did get the krylon dull aluminum but it doesn't have texture. Just want it to look as right as it can.

The rest of the used parts (I did get new upper and lower edge trim due to the dents in my old ones), look pretty nice. Including the used Ebay headlight bezels.

Silver argent is what was used by the factory. Lots of variations out there in the aftermarket. Let your pocketbook and judgement guide you.
