Here ya go tmm....

Funny how things go - in high school I could afford the $1800 1971 Bcuda that grew from a 318 to a 360 to a 440.... 30 years later, I can't afford one worth buying to relive those days.....even more so, the 71 ragtop I had just after high school........

Of course, there's the 70 dart that got parted out back in 84 - gave the kid twenty bucks for the 340/727, the 60 Fury I drove for one summer, the wrecked but savable In Violet bilboard 340 cuda I picked up for $200 just for the grill and park lamps..... The 70 Charger 500 - was. 318 car, but was optioned out. The 69 Road Runner that the guy wouldn't sell to my older brother 6 years earlier - 4 spd car that I put a 440 in...... (Sigh)

Dang, I never got any good deals like that. Love it. My first car was a 65 Dart, 45 years later I find a fun 66 GT 273/4 speed car. Only this one I could afford. The car I always wished my 65 was. A 3 on the tree with a bench seat that old 65. I would jamb 2nd. and the shifter would lock up. I kept a hammer under the seat to break it loose..It would burn that 13" bias ply on the right rear for a quarter mile. lol (I thought so at 16) Well my original was a HP273/3 on the tree 2 door post. I found out a few years ago back then they only made a handfull with that combo...........Oh the cars I should have kept. LOL tmm

Cars I should have kept.

1. 65 Belvedere II. 383. Two door. It was pretty nice.
2. 49 Chevy pickup. Put a lot of miles on it.
3. 1979 Toyota Corolla. My first car. Not cool then, don't care about cool now.

I regret selling every Mopar I've ever owned.I have been lucky, once they were gone,,I've never seen them again. It's like they just vanished.

I think I paid $1200 for my 69 Roadrunner early in 73. And that was a lot of money when I was 17.

74 Road Runner 400, 2 fender tags of options, needed a resto....77 Fury highway patrol 440....69 Dart 4- door survivor.....70 Dart Swinger factory FM3....don't miss this one much as the others but it was cool, it was recently repainted and was photographed by Mopars Collectors Guide....now owned by a FABO member :glasses7:

Others are a 78 Lebaron with a E58 360 cop engine, non lean burn, 66 New Yorker 2 door sedan 383 magnum RR engine, 79 Aspen Wagon super 6....there are others yet but can't remember them all...infact, I might be letting a couple more go....some rarely get used or might never be able to fix them all up....I really want to focus on a few cars than a whole bunch....

Dang that's quite a list.

There was a Super Bee up the street from me for $500 when I was a kid in the early 80's. ....but when you're 14, $500 is next to impossible to get. .......

Boy did I want that car!!!

I miss my '73 4-door, /6 Dart the most, I think. Bench seat, column shift, poverty caps on steelies. Leaked a bit into the trunk from the rear window and the driver's side of the bench was beat to smithereens. Never left me stranded, though.

Then there was the '71 Coronet wagon. Beastly. Learned to drive in the snow in that thing. I inherited that after my mom wanted something smaller to drive.

And the '70 Fury III. That was an ex-NYPD detective's car. My buddy's dad happened to be that NYC detective, and he got it when the department auctioned it off. Years later, after faithfully serving as the family hauler, he passed it on for me. Cheap. As in, free. Thankfully gas was still only .75/gallon.

Had a '73 Newport in there too. Don't miss that as much since I didn't have it for long, but I'd drive the hell out of it if I had it now.

Got any pics of that Hudson? Love those old cars.

67 Dodge Charger, 440 with Max Wedge Dual quads and velocity stacks through the hood. Factory black and white interior with electric windows. Miss that car, sold it to a guy in Main about 28 years ago for what just the intake would go for in this day and age.

* My first Mopar, the '69 340 Swinger I bought used in November 1969 with Cragar S/S wheels already on it from a kid going in the Navy that his parents wouldn't keep the payments up on it for him. Boy I had a lot of fun with that car.
* '70 Charger 500, Sublime, 383/727 we bought used in 1971 from a couple that were moving to Hawaii. This was in the garage alongside the Dart.
* '74 TransAM, our first brand new car. Buccaneer Red with a black interior. Beautiful car.
* '83 Hurst/Olds that I drove off the showroom floor

Wish I still had 'em all. I wouldn't still be in the build stage on my current '69 Dart if I did!

My father had a 1970 Challenger T/A back in 74' that I know he wish he'd of kept.
B5 blue with a black vinyl top.
Car looks great from the pictures I've seen of it.

Cars I should have not let someone drive the first day I owned it. 69 Coronet R/T hemi auto. One of ? Totaled just because it went over a curb. The one I should have kept? My first hp B body, a 68 RR 383 on the column, Bronze/ black and silver bench. Hows the engine build going, Ragtoptfury?

I had a 72 340 Challenger in high school. Bought a 73 340 Challenger right after high school. Had 2 pretty sweet cars at once. My brother had a 70 440 Cuda. If only we'd known what we had..
