I am running the Milodon center sump 7 qt pan. I am stationed in 29 Palms and the roads here suck. I seem to scrape the pan every time I drive even when I am driving slow. What pan can I run that doesnt hang so far below the K member? I would like to stay with the same brand and capacity.

You are scraping with the 7 QT pan which is part # 30936 (340) or #30941 (360) and 7 3/4" deep?

Their 8 qt. is 8 3/4" deep. Unfortunately, the only other similar Milodon pan that they have is the OEM replacement pan at 7 1/2" deep. But it does have baffles.

Oops, sorry - big block section!

Milodon has # 30930 with 7 qts, but it is 7" deep compared to their # 31010 which is also 7 qt. but 7 3/4" deep. The sump on the 7" deep pan appears a little wider at the bottom, so header clearance may need to be double-checked.

OEM replacement # 30760 is 4 qt + filter and 5 1/4" deep.

Maybe the Milodon 30761 which is the 6 quart hemi replacement pan?

Hey, does that bank in 29 Palms still have the time and temperature on the sign? In the 1970's the sign wouldn't register any higher temperature than 110 degrees and would top out at about 10:00 AM.
