After first initial start up noticed the needle on the AutoMeter gauge is below zero, in other words the pointer is under the little “stopper pin”. Have no clue how this could have happened is this fixable? Or just get a new one? AutoMeter was no help other than I gotta send it in so they can evaluate.

Have had this happen a number of times, not with aftermarket gauges, though. I have been able, sometimes, to just manually move the needle back around, or have removed needle and then replaced it in proper position, have been able to just "lift" (bend) needle to get over post, and then back down.

So the gauge comes apart? Guess I should just try and disassemble it. Can always get a new one. Gettin’ too old to crawl under the dash

Just have to remove cover/lenses.
Seriously? If that’s all there is to then I’m looking forward to it.

Is this a mod top car? Please show more pics of the car!
Its a real Western Sport Special used to make a tribute/clone of the Mod Top. It’s been a work in progress for quite some time now as funds become available. Anyways just click on the link in my signature.

The lens bezel is usally crimped on with a die. No way to remove the lens without damaging it. I would not trust the acuracy of the gauge after that, replace it.
