Those were the days. Gravel or dirt pits. Working out of the back of the haul truck and dragging the car in on an open trailer. Inspectors? We don't need no stinking inspectors.

After seeing some of the AA/FD cars, I respect Garlits and his surviving comtemporaries to be around to talk about it.

Whatta mean those were the days. For me, the only change is inspectors...and they'll disappear if your steady. I'm still in the dirt and gravel.
 
Ahhh, Front engine dragsters, early days of the funny car, those crazy altered's, and lets not forget those fabulous wheel standers. We've come along way baby.
