If you can get a deal on it then go for it, especially since you`re a body man.
Hey, unless you know for sure, it couldn't hurt to run the VIN past Larry Weiner and see if it's a GSS. The swapped top end of the engine kinda makes me wonder.
Junk, send it to me.
Did you get a pic of the vin tag on the dash too? Just curious on which plant it was built at. Couldn't make it out in the pic of the fender tag to well.
Thanks for the info. I know my '71 butterscotch demon I am working on is a Los Angles plant built car. I love my demons and hope you get the car and bring her back to life especially if it is a numbers matching car. I know that car is in bad shape but I seen worst too. Just saving it from where its at now would be an accomplishment. From what I can make out, it appears to be a "G" which would be St. Louis, MO. I'm not 100% of that though. I just zoomed in really close and that is what it appears like.

It's not going to be G plant code.
It would be either a "B" or "E". I'm going to guess by the font on the tag it's a "B".
This may be a dumb question, but why couldn't it be a "G"? Were Demons only built in L.A. and Hamtramck?

I'm with you on that. I know I would be one of those guys to spend alot of $$$ to restore it. I also wonder how many butterscotch demon 340 cars were built and still around.id buy it up and restore it this is only my opinion of course but i hate to see a car that could be brought back get torn down and parted out and that car can definatly be brought back, yea it will take some cash and time but i think itll be well worth it.
