Good morning everyone. I’ve been absent for some time just living life. I’m looking for some advise on these seats and thought this community would know best. We were told these were original 67 Dart GT seats, we’ve had them for several years and decided we will never use them so I’m planning to list them but I wanted some opinions before doing so. Any advise/info is greatly appreciated!

Yes, they are 67 Dart seats but with a custom pattern, not factory but very nice!
Thanks! I attempted some research and couldn’t find any with a cloth insert like these so I thought I had better ask. They must have been recovered years ago.

The only reason I bring this up is if someone expects the seat back to be a real 67 but it turns out to be a 66 they will not be able to add the head rests should they want to.

If you remove the metal back you should be able to see the inner structure.

If the structure looking up under the the back of the seat back looks like this, it is a true 67 seat back, the large holes are for headrest provisioning.

On the other hand if they look like this, they are 66 seat backs without the provisioning.

Also note the flat metal on the back of the upper back of the 66 version is open on the 67 version.

66 and 67 A bodies share the same shape, metal backs and sides and the seat bottoms. So they are basically interchangable. As long as the head rest provisioning is not needed for a 67.

One last thing...

I assume from the shape the back seat is not from a convertible, and I don't know if the 4 door, post and fast back use the same rear seat.

Would be good info for a potential buyer.

Thanks for all the info! I will see if I can tell what we have. I do know the car they came out of was a two door 67 273 dart. The guy was building a race car and sold everything but the shell..

4-dr, 2-dr and hardtop should have the same rear seat. Convertible is very different.

Agree, those are custom seat skins. 67 would be all vinyl with a narrow rib pattern. Surprising that they incorporated the chrome badges.

4-door and 2-door sedan are indeed different than 2-door hardtop...

The badges being included are the only reason I wanted to ask this bunch. Looks like neat work and it’s all in great condition but I didn’t want to list them as original if that’s not what they are.
