This is painful.
I had bought this '61 Utilne I believe in '20 from estate of original owner, towed to local shop on sellers nickel. I'm into it for about $ 5,500, mileage at just 12 miles shy of 60,000.
I was thinking of selling and had a local lad that knows the truck and @junkyardhero showed interest.
As my health is not great everything is a PIA. After jumping and moving near I thought a great spot as apparently some thief had siphoned gas I had attempted to run for a bit prior to a gas station run the next day.
The door handle failed to work for the 1st time putting me in a foul mood. Not enough gas to run set me off and I abandoned for the evening back in June.
Half an hour later my gal comes a running in thinking someone was stealing Ol' Blue while I'm in front of TV watching local news.
Apparently as the truck was on relatively level ground I left it in neutral and emergency brake lever not lifted.
This poor thing after staying for around a half hour rolled forward 15-20 feet turned left and went down the driveway for 60 to 70 feet before finding the Oak Tree as a safety stop.
Needless to say I was and am PO'd at myself. I had a good friend help move it a few days ago as the devastation on an unmolested survivor has made me numb for months.
