Pat Garlits RIP

Pat Garlits, the wife of drag racing legend “Big Daddy” Don Garlits, died of Alzheimer’s disease on February 2. Through over sixty years of marriage, Pat traveled with her famed husband, one of the greatest drag racers in history (who is still active). She died at home accompanied by her two daughters, holding Mr. Garlits’ hand, according to a letter he wrote, with her favorite big band music in the background.
