I've done one patina car. Everything, but the outer skin has been made beautiful.
I threw a cap and wires on it, but no luck.

Paint would only hurt this .....I love original patina. Love it. Reminds me of what these cars looked like on the streets in the 80's. Just 2nd hand cheap cars that kids bought and beat on. Sat on the hoods at the Taste-Freeze, shot the loop, with bright yellow traction bars, fat keystone mags in the back, and old faded paint - right where the money stopped. Take me back to that time....
my opinion of course
Agree. If you want to preserve the patina, do it with matte or satin.I really hate shiny clear coated patina, just looks awful.
Truth is...... I like both. Patina and restored/new paint. I absolutely like bothVanilla ages.... and gets better. Only time can do that...... same with this.... get the linseed oil and it's done! Then somebody pulls up with their 8,000 dollar paint job on their D150 and is burnt up inside because folks are looking at the truck below. LOL This is absolutely the truck that would chase you through the woods in the dark and you can't escape....View attachment 1716485257
