You have data to back this statement up? The issues your friend had sound like tuning issues. The brass floats collapsing is common knowledge, they must be switched for nitrophyl and every blow through carb has em.
 
My engine was built for a supercharger. 8.5 comp It only has a few runs on it since the rebuild. I figured it would be cheaper to put a supercharger back on it than take it some where to up the comp. with new pistons ect.
