I got a message yesterday that EBag is moving away from PigPal. They are going to do Bank to Bank money transfers in Feb.
Problem for us Canadians.
Post office no longer does american money orders.
We use alot of E-tranfers, i dont think many banks do E-ransfers to American banks. (I knowbmine doesnt) Unless you go into the bank which is a hassle.
Paypal seems to cover everywhere.
I tried a moneygram once and it all went to hell so i wont do that again.
Western Union was a giant hassle as well. Wont do that again either.
I stick with paypal as it seems to be accepted everywhere now.
It is a currency exchange. It is expected. It may suck but it is what it is.I sold some stuff to a member here, that's Canadian. PayPal has a $5 transfer fee to me. I don't know if this is a Trade thing, or a PayPal thing.
Isn't the exchange rate bad enough..?
Doesn't seem fair to my Canadian friends.
I have used an echeck process through my local bank to transfer money out of state. There have been several threads created about discontent with PayPal..
Bad enough when it was joined with Ebag, causing complications with disputes.
Now I learned PayPal is owned entirely by CHINA. I REALLY don't want China getting 4.47% of MY money.
Question now is, which online Pay platform do you use ??? there are over 15 to choose from.
I don't want to loose the ability to purchase from my FABO brethren.. Idea's ??
Like said, be sure it is not a scam and really from PayPal.. I have seen those too but PP never limited my at, in any way.I've got an UPDATE of sorts...
I got an email from PayPal this morning saying my account is now limited, due to 'suspicious activity '.
Coincidence? Not in today's world...
That is freaking weird! LolI've got an UPDATE of sorts...

I get the scam emails from PayPal. The first thing i notice as it’s all lowered case, also misspelled words often are found.Paypal is not "owned by China". It is an American company. Like MANY American companies, they're on the stock exchange, and anybody can buy shares. Check your facts before posting nonsense.
It did recently land a deal to do business in China, which is not at all the same as being owned by China.
99.9% it's a scam. PayPal doesn't send out emails like that. Hopefully your habit of accepting everything you read on the internet didn't lead you to follow any links on that email and enter your login information.
Lots of emails and even text messages come out that are scams. They say they're from a bank, or PayPal, or whatever. Suspicious activity, fraud activity, unknown purchase, whatever. Your account is frozen, click the link to go to your account. Pretty much all of them are scams. If you get one, NEVER click on the link. Always go to the account in question through your normal method or call using a known good phone number. If you click the link, it takes you to a dummy site that steals your information.
Most banks and similar that send text account alerts and emails will not include a link anymore for this reason.

I "bet" that's a scam phishing email. I get those and delete them and my account is just fine.
I used to work with a guy who looked like Beavis...
