Performance TC for 904

-
Most, if not all of the major tranny companies have performance converters for the 904. They will need to know a complete break down of your engine/rear gear combo, as well as vehicle weight, etc, in order to recommend a converter based on your intended use of the vehicle, ie., street / strip, or a combination of both. It's a mind boggling thing, picking the right converter for your particular car - good luck. :)

not exactly sure yet... only been runng for about two weeks... i have a 360/904/3:91 i will have it at the track on april 27th. i think it is... i do know on the street though the car runs like a whole nother animal.. cruises at a lower rpm, smoother and when you hit it . it just goes.. it used to get up and go with the old convertor but now it is incredible...

Thanks for the info. That's almost exactly the same combo I have for the 66 Vart, 360, 904, 3.91 gears. I was afraid that 9.5 would be a little too high stall for mostly street use, but if you're happy with it in an almost identical combo, I'll definitely have another look at it. Make sure you post some time slips and any pertinant info once you get a few runs at the track. :) You should be able to dip it into the mid to high 12's with that combo well tuned.

oh its definatley great on the street.. i hope it will go low to mid 12's with some sticky tires on it... it has already gone a 12.81 @ 106mph with the old convertor and crappy street tires. i really had to baby it off the line and nail it around the end of the concrete. i will definatley give an update after i get to the track though... you ought to call dynamic and ask them about the 9 1/2 .. i talked to sean. he really explained it to me and assured me that it would be ok on the street.. he was right.

Didn't see anything about what year T/C - 904. Seems like the pre '72 904's are urchan's. ie: T/C's for 904 don't cover the early 904's. Can anyone shed some light on this???
