these last two cars belong to madmax/6 both of these cars were done very well and very tastefull. (no glitter paint) the white one looked all stock even with the dual carb intake. i really liked the choice of air cleaners on it, and you should have heard the thing run. then there is the black race car. with a chopped top, and holes drilled everywhere to save weight. i really liked the hood idea as well. good job mark! i hope you got a trophy, you deserve it. you have inspired me to go wrench on my car.

It was a great time for us. Got to meet alot of people and see alot of sweet cars... and of course pick up some goodies from the swap meet 8)

Nice to meet you and your family as well JayD. Thanks for the kind words.

I had a rotten day selling stuff and that will probably be my last at Flings for selling. I knew it was going to be bad after about 10-15 minutes. Had at least a dozen people tell me that my price on certain parts was very good, yet, nobody bought anything. I sold 3 things all day which barely covered my cost to get there and entry. Then on the way home, I lost a tire on the truck so it got expensive going home too... :wack:

It was a shleprock kind of day!

The bright side was I got to drop off some heavy parts that my friend sold to another member, saving them some shipping charges. Also picked up a few things that got delivered and saved the shipping charges coming my way. So it wasn't a total loss.

It was cool to meet JayD, and see/speak with Dave, Johnny, Burnt/Russell, and everyone else.

Cracked, speaking of parts being transported for other members ... do you have Steve's screen name so i can contact him about picking up the front disc brake assembly I brought up for him? Steve, if you see this, please contact me.

here is the after show over they had saturday night at a different location. all cars were allowed. it was just as good as the actual show.

The Cruise In was at California Car Cover. We had over 200 cars there!! That's the company that makes all of the cool high quality custom (and general fit) car covers. The owner, Jim DeFrank is the same Jim DeFrank that runs a 68 Super Stock Barracuda that is a top competitor in NHRA and has held records.

Jim and his family, hosted the Cruise In and gave EVERYONE free meals!!! I thought the free food was just for the drivers of the cars, but I think 95% got free food. He told me he ran out of burgers after 400 !!

I hope this can be a regular Cruise In event for Spring Fling for many years to come.

PLEASE email me at [email protected] your thoughts on the Cruise In at California Car Cover and I will relay them on to the owners.

man that looked like a hell of a show

Most of the pictures shown were just of Sunday. There are a lot of different cars on Saturday.

This show is local (2hrs drive) for 14 million So Cal people. Many people bring a different car on Saturday than Sunday.

Thank you Kevin Warren and Joanna Ransom for organizing the Spring Fling Coastal Caravan Cruise from Seaside, CA (Monteray) to Spring Fling. They even brought a seperate truck and trailer in case anyone broke down !!! Is that awesome or what?!?!

Actually I heard a car had a wheel bearing go bad and I think they put the trailer to work.

Spring Fling Saturday Night Cruise In hosted by California Car Cover -pictures

The owner Jim DeFrank, owns a 63 Belvedere I believe and of course owns the famous Jim De Frank Super Stock Hemi Barracuda currently compained in NHRA. Jim is a true Mopar guy and when he built that S/S Barracuda he towed it to Spring Fling and sold the part he wasn't using right off of it.

California Car Cover gave out over 400 FREE dinners to everyone in attendance. Not just the drivers of the cars. Is that cool or what?!!??!!!
