I know a lot of people are having trouble, including myself, resizing pictures. I just download a picturer Resizer from Microsoft.com.

I loaded it on my computer in about 30 seconds. I just resized 55 photos at one time in less the 10 seconds.

Here's the link. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Downloads/powertoys/Xppowertoys.mspx

It is on the right hand side about 3/4's the way down. It is called Image Resizer.

Hopefully this helps a few people.

one thing that iv been doing is taking pics with my cell phone, I dont have to resize if I take the pics on it. :smilebox:

I agree, works great. The pictures that come off of your camera are HUGE and they take up a lot of hard drive space. As soon as they come off my camera and into a file, I highlight them and resize them to a smaller size. Don't forget the throw the originals away after resizing!!

I use MS Picture manager that comes with MS Office. Nice little quick program that allows a few other things like cut, crop and a few special effects too. My Canon camera also came with some software but it's not nearly as compact and fast.

I always keep my originals so I have a high quality master if I want to print it out or manipulate it some way. Drive space in my case is not a problem though as I just picked up a Seagate 1.5 terrabyte drive on sale.

Nice!! I would imagine storage problems are a thing of the past!! Where did you get it if you don't mind the hijack?

Microcenter. We have one here in South Denver. 119 bucks and SATA. 4.2ms search time and 16meg cache. I'm really a Western Digital guy from way back but thought I'd give the Seagate a try. No storage issues ever again....LOL! i remember when the 1 gig drives came out and it was said that they could hold the entire contents of the Library of Congress! Damn I'm old...

Here's thier link, you may have one near buy. If not, check out NewEgg. I'll post both links. :)

BTW, I STILL have two 1.2 gig drives laying around if anyone want them, lol. Yes, they still work. :)

That's what I use...works great

I just set the size on my digital camera.

It's just as easy to take the big picture in case I need it for a keepsake or something, and then size it afterwards. Sometimes you need the detail of a larger picture, but usually not. Either way, same thing.

We have a Microcenter here in town. I'll check them out. Thanks!
