since winter is upon me all I can do is stare at my car,how about just a picture thread to drool over till spring sprungs.
Fortunately I can generally drive year around short of summer when I leave the Texas heat, and the cars, for north Idaho.
Drove my 66 Barracuda 200 miles round-trip to meet some FABO members at Summit Racing in McDonough Georgia. Driving through Atlanta
Thar she blows, folks! The big sliding door opens, and up on the rack we go for the major rebuild of everything you can't see from the outside! See you when I'm all prettied up and it starts getting warmer, says the Valiant!
Haven't had a chance to do much since I brought it home 2 weeks ago, just a little tinkering here and there. My uncle bought new and I inherited it after he passed this year. I grew up next door to him so I know the car pretty well. 29,XXX original miles. He saved everything, boxes from the Cragar's he bought in '66 with the original wheels and hubcaps in those boxes. Looked in the glove box last night and he still had all the registration cards along with some cool water slide decals. The STP's are stickers but still nice to have. Got to get a few projects finished first, but can't wait to start on it. My folks in the first pic.
Saw in the owners manual it was delivered to the dealer on 12/4/64. Gotta be a pretty early Formula S?
