Did you guys see the pink Duster on Ebay. It's up to 30,000. Dusters moving up in Value. Never seen a 340 go so high on Ebay.

Big bonus for being a FM3 pink car. And combine that with the rarity of a painted roof AND the desirability of a 4 speed make this car stand out from most in a big way.

Also most A-bodies that are restored aren't restored this nice. Although being a full painted underside as opposed to the correct grey primer is a big bummer. It doesnt say number motor, trans or buildsheet. So that's going to hold it back some. But I can see it actually selling for much more that $30K. Doubtful it actually sells on E-bay.

That car is in it's own world. It will pull buyers and collectors that normally would not own an A-body because of it's unique-ness. A collector of rare B and E bodies looking for A-body representation would consider this car.

Much different A-body than a column auto light green 69 340 Swinger.
.

If I had the money you vet your sweet *** I would be all over that thing. that thing is so nice I am afraid to even look at it lol. But What is VO2 code Painted top?

The roof is painted black, instead of vinyl, would be my guess.

Yea AutoXcuda- it is numbers matching

It would only benefit the seller if they specifically said numbers matching engine and? trans stampings?

Buyers are cautious of generalized statements like "numbers matching" to some that is as little at vin to specific model....to others its stampings on motor/trans/both body stamps, buildsheet, fender tag. And so some "full complete docs" would include window sticker to those aforementioned things. It's not the seller of this car, it's all the others that try to slip murky info by potential buyers.

Most potential buyers of this car will be pretty well versed with numbers, docs, body features, etc. Granted they can see them.

It would really be a lot easier to spot that info with some paragraphs in the description. I totally missed that numbers motor and buildsheet info in the middle of that unbroken text. I looked at every picture though.

Pictures of the motor #'s, trans #'s, and buildsheet would solidify things too.

Being numbers motor and buildsheet, this could go past $40K. Would not suprise me if the seller is expecting at least that much.

ill sale you a factory 340 fm3 duster for 10000

badlilred- Your red Duster is better. Did you recover? I know you were selling a bunch of stuff.

Im hoping its bad photography but the engine compartment paint finish is better than the outside body panels????

It's amazing how checking a few boxes in 1970 and spending maybe $100 extra gets you $10000 or more today. Then again spending $100 on the right stock in 1970 yeids even more today and didn't require restoration or expensive storage for the last 45 years. On the other had a 340 4 speed is more fun then a piece of paper.

For guys like me, the more rare a car is, the less desirable it is, because it is less DRIVEABLE

Last thing on earth I desire is some rare car that must be enclosed in a theft, air, weather, proof enclosure and go in there "and look at it" once in awhile.

Lol, well, you could prolly sit in it too. :D

Meh, just give me a couple gallons of FM3 instead. You can keep the 4 speed row-o-wank with the a**hole grip. Numbers matching is something spend money on and talk about how your wand is bigger.

Really? Its a pretty rare car and you would rather have a few gallons of FM3? :sign12:
