My old man's now deceased 360 '72 Duster made more than a few trips to South Carolina, Tennessee, and one trip to Florida, all from Upstate NY.
-- Get AAA . --- AAA Premium will pay for a 200 mile tow, plus a couple 100 mile tows each year. -- I've only used it once. a few miles from home, for The 33. -- But it's cheap insurance.-- That's how far my insurance company will pay for towing if I break down. Lol --
I envied your dependability!Last year at drag week I drove the 71 Dart 1,000 miles over 5 days. Also made five 1/4 mile passes. Made me very nervous but the car didn't skip a beat. We'll see how she does this year.
About an hour to hour and half each way.
4.10 gear keeps it from being a lot more.
Agreed. Thats why I'm not going with that kind of gear once I put together my 8 3/4. Probably no more than 3:23 for me. Heck, my 2:94 gear feels like it rev'ing on the e-way. Kinda loud exhaust makes it feel that way. I need a tack to see though.About an hour to hour and half each way.

When you say New, did you buy that car brand new?Even from new my car never went more than 300 miles from home, in 2009 just a year after finishing the restoration I took the car to Oregon. The trip started up the California coast and continued up the coast into Oregon where I visited with a couple friends and went by Mount Hood and back through the eastern part of the state. The trip was a total of about 2200 miles. I was all set to do it again this summer but plans changed making the Barracuda a less practical choice.

My grandparents purchased the car new December 8, 1966, I got the car in 1985. They never left the Southern California area (north to Monterey and Mojave areas), prior to the restoration I took it to Bishop once and Las Vegas a few times. When you say New, did you buy that car brand new?
