and want Poly wants, poly gets. In stock Menards tool shop furniture dolly,24" 2X10 cut in half,8 #8X2-1/2" deck screws. The uprights are placed 8" apart, next one I'll try 8-1/4". This one is SNUG!
Great to have everything on wheels. I built one out of 2x8 lumber and another one with1 1/2 inch angle. Both are more versatile and more solid than the one I bought.
Perfect timing. I'm pulling my 340 and all I have to put it on is a dolly like that until I can get/make a stand. I'll wait till it's hanging and I can measure before mounting the supports.
I made the uprights 24" to clear the flexplate. When looking how high it would sit,I took the flexplate off and cut the 2X10 in half. If I engineered the whole thing as others here have done, it would be lower still. But I have project deficit disorder(if it takes too long,I lose interest),so I used what was on hand and easiest to assemble. I may add "triangle" braces at the front and back outside of the boards.(on the side)
