George Perry is legend down this way. He caught the world record largemouth bass in Tellfair County, Georgia in 1932 and it still stands today. Since 2006, there has only bee one picture that was known about, although in an interview before his death, Perry himself said there were two pictures taken. So, what do yall think? Is it a real picture? The first one has already been authenticated. Here's the article:

Oh and BTW, my father in law has caught one that went 20 pounds and 12 oz. He gave it along with two "smaller" ones mounted to Kitty a couple of years ago. He says he's gonna break the record before he "kicks off". lol If anybody can do it, he can. Anyway, here's George Perry's supposed 2nd picture. The fish in the pic is supposedly the 22 pound 4 oz record holder from 1932. What do you think? If it's a photoshop, it's a damn goodun.

Well, LOL, since "they" didn't "have" photoshop back then.......

but I get your point. We don't have bass like that "up here." USED to be able to catch what is called "Kamloops trout" in Lake Pend Oreille

The record "one" was caught in '47 by a guy named Wes Hamlet, and still stands. 37 lbs

IN 95, some guy yanked a 47 lb Mackinaw out of there

As with most lakes in the PNW, dams have affected fish tremendously.

Nice fish, Andy! That's about the biggest in Largemouth I've ever caught.........and by accident no less.

..oh my,i have done a pile of bass fishing in Ontario and anything much bigger than 5 lbs
will give you bragging rights.
Having said that ,i have favorite spots that routinely produce 35 fish in an afternoon if you know how to catch bass.
..Fish like those trophies should always be released....'just 'sayin!

So yall really answered my question. You think the pic is real? I do, FWIW.

If you hold it out in front of you like he's doing it looks bigger. Any larger bass I've caught wouldn't stay still long enough to hold out like that.

Consider the fish could have been dead or close to it. He and his family did eat the fish.

the pic of perry's bass is bullshit.

I agree it does look strange, but this picture is of the same fish and has been authenticated. It turned up in 2006. It clearly appears to be about the same size as the fish in the first post. This pic is not bullshit. It's the real thing. I think the pic in my first post is the real thing.....but I think it was enhanced somewhat to bring the fish out more.
