First time posting here. After 30 years of running these Cragar GT's (14x7 front and 15x8 rear with 225/60/14 and 255/60/15 tires) on my '71 Duster, I am making the switch to bigger wheels.

Test fitted new American Racing VN516 wheels today: New front wheels are 17x8 with +20mm offset and 245/45/17 tires. New rear wheels are 18x9 with +6mm offset and 275/45/18 tires. All fender lips were trimmed decades ago, and I suspect non-trimmed fender lips would rub at the relatively low ride height.
Car has ancient OEM 340 leaf springs and 1-inch lowering blocks + BBP axles in a stock A-body 8.75 rear housing. There is now only 1/4" clearance between rear tire inner wall and leaf spring, so I plan to install the 1/2" offset shackle kit already purchased for more clearance there. Front spindles are OEM '75 disc-brake type with Mopar BBP discs.
Thanks to all those who posted in the past regarding clearance issues, backspacing, tire sizes, etc. (Especially 72bluNblu) I studied here a lot before ordering my wheels and tires. The info found here was very helpful.
