Primer Polyurethane or Acrylic

Hi Boss ,

Well , i always used some primer polyurethane and now i see arrived at my dealer a primer Acrylic .

What is the difference with this two base please , Acrylic good not good , why ?

Are you, by chance, confusing the names?

Typical primers include:

There is Acrylic Lacquer primer for use with lacquer finishes.

There is Polyester primer which is essentially liquid plastic filler.

And, there's Urethane (aka polyurethane) primer.

(And, of course, your Epoxy & Etch primers).

You'll be fine with a urethane primer for surfacing work. I'd apply it over an epoxy base. Epoxy's are a "direct to metal" primer.
 
Yes if you see my location i live in france and in this dark country the name of "your" urethane is effectively polyurethane .

And the initial question is the different with uréthane primer (polyurethane) and Acrylic primer , for you if i use acrylic primer i do finished with acrylic lacquer finish ?
