Vote cast. I'll chime in on EFI threads whether they have a dedicated forum or no.
Thats what we’re saying will get it all together in one place. A poll? Just shut this down now cause we all know it isn’t gonna fly with u mods not even giving a dam. There is some out there but having to chase down 50 or so threads to find what you’re looking for is very frustrating. Anytime something is suggested u mods shut it down without even giving us a chance. Just because u mods don’t give a dam about EFI doesn’t mean we don’t. Otherwise we wouldn’t be asking for this. Do u have a vehical with EFI? Then maybe u should care cause there may be a time u need our help. Kim

WOW Kim, why throw the staff under the bus? We don't make these changes. If we are asked for our options we will give them. I don't see any any moderators saying no to a EFI Forum so get off your high horse. If you complainers would just invite Joey to the conversation here, there wouldn't be an issue.
@Joeychgo is all you need to do.
When I wanted the, "Mopar Performance Part for Sale" section created all I did was send a message to Joey explaining that we needed to split the Mechanical parts thread.
He created it within days, because it made sense to separate the two different types of parts.
So, I can't see him not creating an EFI section because it just makes sense to do it.
Just contract Joey and I am sure he'll create it for you.

Well, the owner of the site isn't all that old.......and the mods can't make changes to the site.
The OP could have tagged Joey in with the first post or one of us mods could do that if the OP can't do an edit anymore.....

it's up to him, and sometimes he will ask for input from the mods .

Ultimately it's his forum. He is a fair man, so it's up to him to determine if it's beneficial to the site.

I see the Ya's as useful data, not sure about the Na's.
Not looking to argue anything here, just thinking it through.
Also, I kinda thought someone in authori-tie was looped in early on. Even though I didn't start this thread, I somehow feel responsible for not seeing the obvious, doh!

Joey asked me to sell the idea to him so I did my best.
I believe most of what I’ve already said here is valid. I truly believe that if we start a dedicated EFI forum it would be the only Mopar-specific one that I know of. I’m sure there would be a decent amount of Google search traffic from that which perhaps increases membership if people find what they’re looking for here that isn’t available anywhere else.
I also said that modern engine swaps often involve ECU management which shares a lot of similarities with retrofit EFI conversions. The hobby is seeing a lot of that type of thing lately as the supply of old parts dries up.
Power adder stuff often relies on ECU programming as well so there’s another aspect of this idea that may not be so obvious at first glance.
At some point down the road EFI might be the norm rather than carburetors so why not take the ‘ol bull by the horns and be the at the forefront of that rather than playing catch up.
On the forum management side, perhaps combine some of the less active forums? Maybe it would be OK to close some that don’t generate enough threads. I won’t be specific but if it was up to me it would be pretty easy to trim the amount of forums down without doing too much disservice to the majority of our members.
Not sure what else to say. Hopefully my pitch worked. Seems odd to have to plead my case like this but if that’s what it takes then so be it.

Makes too much sense. I have zero experience with efi, but Ive read enuf to know there isn't any plug and play. There is a lot that goes into swapping to efi. Having a specific forum will be a big benefit.
Just start a new thread in Mopar General Discussions, call it "EFI", then run with it. You don't need any special permissions to do that.
The demand on the subject will determine how far it goes and for how many years.
I have multiple threads that I have started years ago that have thousands of veiws and are still going strong and are still relevant today.

Honestly I'd like to see something like that broken up into the various flavors like Holley, Factory, Speeduino, MegaSquirt, etc. Like it or not there is a valid place for it.
