Pushrod length

Anybody know the correct pushrod length for a 383 using solid lifters? Thank you drive through.

That is going to depend on a lot of things such as what heads, what cam,what lifters. what rockers,etc. I have some 8.700" I used in a 400/470' with Eddy heads,a Comp cam/lifters and Comp rockers. They are Comp ball/ball 3/8" x 8.700" and for sale.

You are better off to measure for the correct size. Less of chance having them too long.

If I could hazard a guess, he probably just needed a ballpark to know what length checking pushrod to buy since they come in different flavors...

Well, I plan on running the Howards EMD lifters and I understand they are taller and will require a shorter pushrod, so looks like measuring it is.
