Guys,

I have some reproduction rally wheels going on a 71 Demon. They are a gray color. What is the best spray can version of the argent wheel paint to buy? I've heard people recommend Krylon Dull Aluminum #1403 and mixed results with Mopar Performance Wheel Paint P4529876. What is the current recommendation?

Thanks!
Randy

I think the Mopar Performance will be closest to correct. Krylon or others ? Close enough and more important to some is its local availability and lesser cost.
Even OEM weren't all exactly the same. X number of wheels painted over x number of years. Hundreds of gallons of paint couldn't possibly be exactly the same.

I used mopar argent on some used wheels.
Not sure if it's a perfect color match but the paint has held up very well for at least five years.

I took mine to Les Schwab and had them powdercoated silver/grey. Probably not correct but I like them a lot.

I left it as is, I used krylon. I didn't want to clear for fear of
The clear possibly yellowing

From what I understand, the Mopar Performance paint has a limited shelf life, so you need a fresh can (or 2), but is is what most people use!!
