Hello,
I bench tested my new IVR in the cluster yesterday. All lights work on the cluster, and when testing the top pin on the back of the cluster it flashes red. I’ve read that is a good thing.
My question is the two pins to the right of that. The “1 and 2 o’clock pin” makes the IVR have a solid red light. I’m assuming this the fuel and other gauge on the cluster. I assume it’s solid red because it detects it’s getting power but other than that there is nothing making it “work”. I believe if I were to hook up the sending unit, it would start to blink?
Anyways my question is what does a solid red LED light mean on a IVR? This is in my 1972 dodge dart non-rallye dash.
Edit: my father has a working voltage regulator for his dart. We tested the fuel gauge and sender and it did read correctly. So it does work. This test was done before the Ivr came in.
