Rag joint

just picked up a 72 duster. Has a lot of play in steering. Does this year have a rag joint on the steering shaft. I do not see one on my car but seems there might be a place for it.

No rag joint on Mopars. That's a GM thing. The coupler at the steering box, on the end of the steering column shaft may need to be rebuilt. You can also replace it with a u joint style coupler.

It could just be a worm steering component like a tie rod, pitman arm or idler arm.

Don't forget to look at the steering box. Bolts on my b body were half off when I got it....
