I bought a 1964 V-200, /6, four speed, four door parts car. I got it for the orignal trunnion flange 833 and column that are now in my 64 2dr sedan. But it has a dash piece I haven't seen before. It goes over the wiper and light switches. Like the push buttons cars, just blank. Any 63/64's manual trans cars I've seen are like mine, just the painted metal dash. Just curious if it is a rare piece? Thinking it will fit 63's too.

All manual trans Barracudas would've come with that, as the Barracuda was the top optioned model in the A body lineup in 64! Not a common piece though!! Geof

Just as a reference picture...there is an Ebay '64 Valiant v200 convertible with that very piece..................wow that 4 door 4 speed valiant parts car sounds interesting.

It is a very neat car. It even has 3.55 gears, that I will be keeping. The side mirror is even in a different spot. I've know of the car for 15 years. The only reason I bought my 2dr Valiant, was of this cars 4 speed. It has sat since 1981, no title, bottom is very rotted out. The body looksk ok, but it is getting thin in spots. It's sad that it went to waste. But anything good has been be kept. This would have made a great family car. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

That is a part that a few people are looking for, it may be a bit hard to find when you need one but I can't say it is rare, every three on three car would have one.

The mirror is an aftermarket. You should decode the fender tag if it is still there since it could have some pretty interesting information.

I put it on ebay, I didn't want to drill the dash out. The 4spd has a 63 cast date on it. So it would have been made close to the start of the 833 prodution life. Too bad cars can't be ordered like you want anymore.

Cool find. I also have a 65 Valiant 4 door, 4 speed, but with a 273. I was going to part it out, but it is complete and way too different to do that.
I have one of those same pieces on a 64 Barracuda. /6, 3 speed.

By the way, I sent you a PM.

Not to diverge, but whoa. Your Avatar is the drawing my brother made of my 64, Sc2Ner. I have no problem with it. It's very flattering actually. Just made me do a double take. Cool find on that trim piece. Intrigued to see what it goes for.

Well let your brother know, his design kicks....you know what. Thanks for.being ok with it.I found it on the internet a few years ago. And when I bought the car. I said this would be perfect.

I aslo have the fender tag. I'll try later or tomorrow to get it on here.

I'll let him know you like it. He's a professional graphic artist working in Knoxville, TN. That design was his centerpiece for an exhibition he hosted in college. It was very flattering to have people oohing and ahhing over a design based on my clapped-out clunker.

Here are both tags. I have the VIN decoded. The paint, trim and body i have figured out. I just do not have the rest of the fender tag figured out

Cont Galen Govier in Prairie du Chien Wisconsin. He's the guru on this decoding, but I'm sure there are others that can help you.
