RARE Middle Georgia Snow

We got a couple of pretty good dumps here in November and early December just south of Chicago, and it's melted off, we have very little left. What I DON'T WANT is the weather coming after tomorrow, highs around 7*F and reg temps (not counting wind-chill) around -7* to -10*. With wind-chill they're saying -25 to -30 for most of the next week at least
I heard on the radio maybe a foot of snow for Oklahoma City and Dallas. I live hearing that. I hope it comes true.

Meanwhile, here in Canada, aka 'The Great White North', my lawn is still green. Did get a very light dusting of snow yesterday morning, but nothing to get excited about. Colder for a few days, and possibly a little more snow, but back into the high 30s/low 40s by Monday.

We haven't had any snow here in Tallahassee this year, but we got a fair amount a year ago. Most one-day snow in Tallahassee ever was 2.4 inches in 1958.

Don't shoot the messenger that's just what I had heard on the radio at work the other day. Id definitely rather see someplace like that get it than where I'm at, which is just outside of the Chicago suburbs. We've gotten our share for the year already. Just a little bit left in the ditches around here at present

It was pretty eye opening how many deep east Texas car ports and steel storage buildings or pole barns just folded under a couple inches of snow and a little coat of ice. Also when the sun comes out and it seems melting and safe, slow down for shady patches and bridges!!

Texas, Okla. Arkansas and points East...watch out, the ice will bit someone on the a** BAD. Weather guy talking as bad a 1 1/2 inches ICE in central Ar. and 3/4 inch in N Tx. Widespread ice! and points EAST!

IT ain't the snow, it is the ICE!

Down here in the Piney Woods of S E Tx. a 1/4 in of ice and a little wind can be BAD!!!!!

Only a foot of snow on the ground here in North Dakota and not going to get hit with a pile of snow anytime soon, but it's cold.
21 below and wind chill is 52 below. I'll take the damn cold over a pile of snow any day.

We actually saw that in Macon in 1973. It started early Friday morning. By Saturday morning, there was a solid 24" in north Macon. Since the official weather station back then was in south Bibb County, almost to Warner Robins, the official measurement was 16". That was a lot of fun.
