RB Valley plates

Anyone know for certain which valley plate will work on a 440 with Trick flow 270's? TF plates are backordered.

I can’t imagine why an Indy cover wouldn’t work.
Same basic thing as the TF cover.

Get the one with the removable panel.

A factory style valley plate does not work on heads with raised MW sized ports……..which is what TF270’s have.

I called INDY and they said it works just takes a little more silicone. Ordered and on the way

What did the factory Max Wedges use?

Paper gaskets on the sides, cork strips on the end.
The manifold seals off the valley, like a SB does…….so no valley pan is used.
Plus, stock MW heads don’t have raised ports.

My solid plates were designed to work with TF 270 heads.

They'll also work with the TF 240 heads if you use the batwings to seal off the valley. With 270 or Indy heads you don't need the batwings since the heads sit on top of the edge of the valley. Just run a bead of RTV on the edge of the valley and then bolt the head down and you're good to go.
