Really weird ignition issue...

Yeah we all need you to swoop in and save the day. We're all too stupid, evidently.
It would seem that
you can't read; my offer was to the OP,
It would seem that
you guys can't explain chit, cuz here we are 75 posts now, and OP still has only a rudimentary understanding.
It would seem that
your one-liners are not getting it done.
Criminy, it's going on three days already.

I'll tell you guys something; NOT everybody is a smart as you guys are; and your one-liners are not transferring the knowledge of your intent.
Here's an idea;
If you give a hungry man a fish, you'll feed him for a day.
If you instead teach that man to fish, he'll feed himself.
Here's another idea;
Just maybe your posts are too short. Probably like your sex-life.
Yur in and out and asleep; and your wife is thinking WTH just happened.

THAT is some funny ****.
Hey, I appreciate it when people take time to offer help.
AJ, I also appreciated your efforts although I do think you took very wide swath at what was a simple parts replacement.
You did suggest a bunch of carburetor work when I did mention that the car ran great except when the vacuum advance line was attached.
I thank you though.
To me, the carburetor had nothing wrong with it. I know this because I drove the car that this carburetor just came off of, a 68 Dart in my shop that is getting a stroked 5.9 that was originally a MP 360/380 crate engine from the 90s.

We pulled the engine about a month ago.

I admit that I am not at the top of the skill level like some here are but I am smarter than you may think.
Also, I am friends with FABO/FBBO member 1 Wild R/T, a guy that often "swoops in" to guide me out of a jam when he sees me heading for trouble. Randy posted the rotor phasing video, a point that few others considered and it turns out, he was right.
Yeah, I could just call Randy each time I encounter a problem but to me, posting the questions on the forums gets the word out there to a lot more people. For as long as the forum is active, these experiences are available for people to research and learn from.
