Whats the largest rim and tire size (rear)you can fit on a 65 barracuda. Car also has air shocks.

Thanx!

I have 275's with the springs moved inboard. Tire fits in the stock wheel well. I had 245 50 16's on the Cuda with no mods at all. The trick is to get the right offset for the tires to clear.
Pic is the 275's on the car.

There are a lot of variables in fitting a big tire under your Barracuda. It depends on which axle you have, any modifications to the location of the springs, what height of tire, etc. On my 66, the springs are moved in to the frame, mini-tubbed and the axle is narrowed to fit 295/50/15's.

I agree with 604B1duster that with stock spring location and stock wheel wells, the max 15" tire that will fit is a 255-60-15. I used this size with cop wheels on a '66 barracuda once. However lots of rubbing with four people in car and/or going up driveways at an angle. There are tire size charts on the net if you want to look up the dimensions of that particular tire.

I narrowed an 8.75 centering the tire in the stock wheel well on my torque thrusts and relocated the springs inward. A 275 drag radial fits perfectly.
